The first three years of life are the time when a person experiences the greatest changes in the shortest space of time. They learn to eat, walk and talk. They also awaken their capacity for socialisation and discover themselves and the world around them. The key is the balanced development of all these affective, motor, cognitive and communicative capacities and the knowledge of the immediate and everyday environment. Of particular relevance is that, according to the Reggio philosophy, communication encompasses all the ways in which human beings communicate. This means that the arts and their multiple languages are given a prominent place.
Furthermore, in The Magic Castle the child is seen as a competent being from birth. The child is accompanied with total admiration and respect, far from adult conditioning, labels and comparisons. Which can only diminish their capacity for development. From this point of view, the young child ceases to be an unfinished creature for the adult. Whose objective is the adult they will become. And they are seen as the person they are at the moment, with all the abilities they bring with them. Which are much greater than those they will have as they grow.
Therefore, the objectives in these first years of life go far beyond providing care for hygiene and nutrition. Thus, it is essential to accompany the children in their discovery of the world and of the other people around them. How? By promoting their autonomy, offering quality care, creating secure emotional bonds and reflecting on every detail, no matter how insignificant it may seem at first.
Children from 0 to 3 years old approach life through touch and observation. While they try to do and play. Therefore, they require slow time, attention to their individual rhythms and needs, and individual quality of relationship. Based on all these premises, El Castillo Mágico starts from everyday life in each proposal, presented in a way that provokes amazement and curiosity. In this way, interest in research and interaction is generated in a natural and beautiful way.

El Castillo Mágico® Nursery School is the first bilingual Nursery School for 0-6 year olds that bases its educational and care programme on the arts. This is why its team is made up of fabulous educator-artists, among other professionals. In this way, language and music are emphasised in a fluid context of respect for the child’s individual and natural development. In addition, emotional education and accompaniment in upbringing are emphasised. The role of music as a non-verbal language, which radiates directly to the heart, is particularly noteworthy in this respect.
