The characteristics that early childhood education from 3 to 6 years of age must meet are the following:
- Bonding.
- Emotional support.
- Coverage of the basic needs of sleep, hunger, thirst and cleanliness.
- Free movement for a correct cognitive and physical development.
- Free drawing for the development of drawing.
- Research and discovery of their immediate environment.
- Literacy and numeracy contexts that respect natural and individual rhythms. The child must feel that he/she can.

During the infant stage, children must acquire security, autonomy and self-esteem. This is achieved through love, bonding, individual attentive gaze, free movement (through which they take risks and surpass themselves within established limits) and play.
In addition, for an integral development, all this has to be complemented with rhymes, singing, organic music with rhythmic movements and experimentation with the hands through art.
Thus, children are encouraged to develop good motor coordination, to acquire good postural habits, to be skilled in drawing and in daily manual tasks, to be able to maintain concentration and attentive listening and to be equipped with solutions to the many emotional, relational or academic (life) difficulties they may face.
